15 Great Gifts for Cats
These items make great gifts for cats and the people who love them. We’ve had cats since 2006 and currently have three cats - ages 9, 3, and 2. This list features products that are favorites of at least two cats and often more. There are a lot of scratchers on this list because we keep them throughout the house to help protect our furniture and having different shapes provides a fun variety for the cats. What are your favorite items for cats?
PetFusion Jumbo Scratcher
Our cats love this double decker scratcher so much that we are on our second one. The best part is that you can flip it over when one side gets worn. They sleep on it, play on it, and use it to jump on to the cat tree.
PetFusion Ultimate Cat Scratcher Lounger
Our cats loved the Jumbo Scratcher so much that we bought the slightly smaller Ultimate Lounge and it is also a big hit.
Quiet Time Overstuffed Cuddle Bed
We have seven or eight cat beds and this is the one they fight over, so now we have two of these. The cats love them and I love them, too, because you can stick the whole thing in the washer and dryer and not have to struggle to put a cover back on. Our cats are big and they fit in the small size.
The Refined Feline Lotus Cat Tower
We’ve had this cat tower for over five years and it has held up well. We occasionally tighten the screws at the bottom because the cats use it for parkour. It’s a great cat tree for an apartment because it has a relatively small footprint. We love that it is more visually pleasing than the traditional carpet covered cat trees.
Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Handheld Vacuum
This handheld vacuum works like a champ. I’ve had mine since 2007 and it is still going strong. It is perfect for vacuuming pet hair off of the couch, getting hairballs from the corners, and cleaning up small amounts of litter.
SmartCat Pioneer Pet Ultimate Scratching Post
This scratching post is great especially for long cats. It’s approximately 35 inches tall. It’s also available in gray.
Petlinks Scratcher’s Choice Pillar
Our little guy loves this scratching pillar. It’s 20 inches tall and easy to assemble.
Pioneer Pet Big Max Drinking Fountain
If you are looking for a circulating pet fountain, we have two of these. Some of the plastic options are much cuter, but we like that this is stainless steel and dishwasher safe, which is a huge help for keeping it clean. It’s also a good size for bigger cats.
FURminator Cat Brush
The FURminator brushes work wonders on our cats. We have one for short hair and one for long hair because our cats have different length fur. They may not always love getting brushed, but these brushes work much more quickly and efficiently than any other brush that we've tried.
Vital Cat Freeze-Dried Minnows
If your cat likes fish, these treats are great. And if you need to disguise a pill, these do the trick. We had a cat that was sick for years and he would ask for the fish at the specific time of day that he needed medication. All you have to do is break of an end and then place the pill inside.
Wildside Salmon Freeze-Dried Cat Treats
These treats are loved by all of our cats. They will sniff them out of a bag from the store if we forget to put them away quickly. 100% wild freeze-dried Alaskan Salmon pieces.
Petlinks Electronic Mystery Motion Cat Toy
All of our cats enjoy the Mystery Motion toy. It is the only thing that truly keeps them busy. It has four different speeds and the “random” is their favorite. It runs on 3 AA batteries.
Pet Colorful Spring Toys
Springs are great for chasing around the kitchen or hardwood floor.
HotCat Catnip Sausage Toy
Catnip alert! For our cats who like catnip, these are a great treat.
Cat Tunnel
These tunnels are hours of fun. Cats love running through them, hiding in them, and playing alone, together, and with a wand toy in these tunnels. Available in 3 tunnel, 4 tunnel, and 5 tunnel options.
