12 Companies that Ship Gifts to Canada
My in-laws live in Vancouver, Canada, so every year we have to plan extra early for holiday gifts to make sure they arrive on time. I used to shop in the US and ship the gifts to our families’ homes in Canada with FedEx, but then we had to deal with tariffs and, one year, our package was held up in customs. No one wants to deal with that at Christmas. Since then, I started buying from companies in Canada that process United States credit cards and from US companies that deliver to Canada. I gathered this list of stores in case you need to send gifts to friends and family in Canada.
Be sure to check the exchange rate when you shop. The US dollar and Canadian dollar usually differ, so prices may look more expensive than they are to US buyers.

Hudson’s Bay
Similar to Macy’s in the US, Hudson’s Bay or “The Bay” offers a variety of clothing, shoes, beauty items, and home goods. There are plenty of good options for everyone on your list. We’ve also sent housewarming gifts from Hudson’s Bay. If you are interested in the history of the company, check out the Hudson’s Bay Company Wikipedia page.

5. FTD
FTD is great for sending beautiful flowers because all you have to do is put the zipcode of where the arrangement will be delivered in Canada and any available options will show up. It works the same as in the US.
6. Nuts.com
Send a gift basket of tasty treats or select your own from the variety of nuts, dried fruit, sweets, and other snacks available. Shipping is free or low cost depending on how much you order. Duties and taxes apply because they are a US based company. They also ship to APO/FPO addresses for members of the military.

A Vancouver toy store with a selection designed to help build children’s life skills. Search the website by category, age, or brand. We’ve bought toys, books, stuffed animals, and costumes for our niece from Dilly Dally Kids.
8. Laduree Canada
Gift the deliciously famous macarons, candies, teas, or candles. In store pickup is available at certain locations if you have someone local to the store to help you out. Shipping is very pricey even if you order from a Canadian based store, but this could be the perfect gift for someone who loves Paris.
9. Big Island Candies
Delicious shortbreads, chocolates, macadamia nuts, Kona coffee, and more. Duties, taxes, and shipping apply and are usually charged separately from your order after they are calculated. This is also a small company, so double check order deadlines for holidays.

Everyone should experience opening a little blue box at least once in their life. The Canadian version of the Tiffany website makes that a breeze.
11. Etsy
The options for unique, handcrafted gifts are endless on Etsy. I’ve bought some really cool items over the years. Be sure to check that the individual sellers you are interested in ship to Canada. If you want, you can search for Canadian sellers/crafters by clicking on the magnifying glass in the search bar so the “All categories” shows up on the left of your screen, then scroll down to “shop location”, select “Custom” and type “Canada” in the search box.
12. Harry Rosen
Canada’s leading luxury men’s retailer. They offer casual wear, tailored clothing, outerwear, loungewear, underwear, accessories, and footwear.
EDIT: I found additional companies since October of 2020 and plan to keep adding to the list. I also removed Nordstrom Canada when it ceased operations.
13. The Chocolate Lab
A chocolate company located in Calgary, Alberta. Each chocolate looks like a work of art. They ship across Canada and take US credit cards. There is also an option to pay with PayPal.

Pehr is an Canadian company that also operates in the US. They sell high quality baby and toddler items including adorable play mats, clothing, bedding, and storage.
15. Amazon
The items offered sometimes differ between the US and Canadian Amazon websites, but you can purchase from them. To do so, go to Amazon and at the top right of the page, hover over the flag and select the option at the bottom of the popup window that says “Change country/region.” When the page loads, select “Canada” from the pull down menu on the left and then click “Go to website.”
